Master keys
We also have plenty of experience installing master key suites for businesses to give them greater control over the movement of people in the buildings, provide enhanced security and give accessibility to business owners and key holders.
Master key systems are fitted to many public and commercial establishments, from schools, retail premises and tenanted buildings to colleges, councils and businesses. Different types of locks can be operated by a master key system, including cylinder, mortice and pad locks.
Think of the suite in terms of levels of security, certain people can have access to specific areas of the building whilst the business owner can open every lock in the building. There are three types of locks which can be used, and these are:
Keyed to differ – locks are keyed individually and the lock can only be opened by its own key.
Keyed alike – one key gives access to a number of locks.
Master key – each lock is individual and has one key which operates only that lock, but there’s one master key which opens them all.
Registered key systems
Registered key systems are recommended as they offer regulation of who can have a key reproduced, giving even greater protection from unauthorised access.
Digital locks
Mechanical or digital door locks require a number or button combination to grant access to a building. Only those who know the code can enter, safeguarding your property or business from unauthorised admission.
